Supported by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Dubai, this exhibition seamlessly blends tradition with modernity and East with West. From bold reinterpretations of calligraphy to cutting-edge works by emerging talents, the showcase offers a diverse artistic experience.

More than just an exhibition, it’s an immersive journey—featuring: artist talks, live performances and, interactive workshops designed to inspire new connections. Special collaborations with Korean cultural hubs in Dubai provide a deeper exploration of Korea’s creative landscape.

Art Path 2025: 아랍에미리트(UAE)에서 열리는 제1회 한국 아트페어가 이번 4월 두바이에 상륙합니다. 총 6개의 역동적인 장소에서 펼쳐지는 이 행사는, 현대 한국 미술의 생동감 있는 에너지를 담아냅니다. 주두바이 대한민국 총영사관의 후원으로 열리는 이번 전시는 전통과 현대, 동양과 서양을 자연스럽게 연결합니다.

전통 서예의 대담한 재해석부터 신진 작가들의 실험적인 작품에 이르기까지, Art Path 2025는 매우 다채로운 예술적 경험을 선사합니다. 단순한 전시에 그치지 않고, 관람객이 직접 참여하고 몰입할 수 있는 여정을 제공합니다.

작가와의 대화, 라이브 퍼포먼스, 창의력을 자극하는 체험 워크숍 등 다양한 프로그램이 마련되어 있으며, 두바이에 위치한 한국 문화 기관들과의 특별한 협업을 통해 한국의 창조적인 예술 세계를 더욱 깊이 탐색할 수 있습니다.

Collage of Love - 사랑의 콜라주

“Collage of Love” brings together the word “love” in seven different languages—Korean, English, German, French, Hindi, Arabic, and Spanish. Each language has its own character, rhythm, and soul. Through diverse scripts and strokes rooted in calligraphy, the work reflects the many shapes of love—linguistic, cultural, visual, and emotional.

This collage is not just a visual gathering of words; it is a meditation on love’s diversity and its power to embrace all people and differences. By writing the word “love” repeatedly, I seek to cultivate self-love first, believing that only from loving myself can I truly love others. In this act of repetition, I hope love will continue to flow—from myself, to others, and to the world.

‘사랑의 콜라주’는 사랑이라는 단어를 여덟 개의 언어—한글, 영어, 독일어, 프랑스어, 힌디어, 아랍어, 스페인어 이태리어—로 표현한 작품입니다. 각 언어는 고유한 문자와 리듬, 문화를 지니고 있으며, 서예적인 획과 조형미를 통해 사랑의 다양한 형태를 시각적으로 담아냈습니다. 문자적, 언어적, 회화적 다양성이 하나로 어우러지며, 사랑이 얼마나 다채롭고 보편적인 감정인지 보여주고자 했습니다.

이 작업은 단순한 언어의 조합을 넘어, 서로 다른 사랑의 모습들이 함께 어우러지고, 그것이 결국 하나의 조화로 이어지기를 바라는 마음에서 출발합니다. 반복해서 ‘사랑’이라는 단어를 써내려가며, 먼저 스스로를 사랑하겠다는 다짐을 담았습니다. 자기 사랑에서 시작된 사랑이 타인을 향해 흐르고, 또 세상으로 확장되기를 바랍니다. 사랑이 흘러가고, 번지고, 우리 모두를 포용하기를 희망합니다.
